INCREASE IN RIZQ

INCREASE IN RIZQ

Sent by: Sister Aaliyah Abdullah, UK

The vastness of the universe is still to observed and comprehend by the humans despite of great advancement in science and technology. Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa) has created this unimaginably huge universe alone, without asking anybody’s advice and taking anyone’s help. He is “the Creator”.

The attributes of Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa) are, in a way, His beautiful names, through which we call Him, we remember Him, we ask Him his favors. Out of the beautiful Names of Allah, one is Ar-Razzaaq (الرَّزَّاقُ) meaning The Total Provider / The Sustainer. Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa) is the One who provides everything we need to live in this world. These are called “Rizq” generally meaning Provisions.

Here are the ways to increase the Rizq of a person walking on the planet:

TAUBAH (REPENTANCE) FROM SINS
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa), the Provider, says:

“So I said: ‘Pray to your Lord for your forgiveness. Indeed He is Very Forgiving, and He will cause the heavens to rain upon you in abundance, and will help you with riches and sons, and will cause gardens to grow for you, and cause rivers to flow for you.” (Nooh 71:10-12)

TAQWAA (ALLAH-FEARING, PIETY)
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa), the Sustainer, says:

“Whoever fears Allah, He brings forth a way out for him, and provides him (with what he needs) from where he does not even imagine.” (At-Talaaq 66:2-3)

KEEPING TIES OF KINSHIP
Hadhrat Aans bin Maalik narrated that he heard the Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) said:

“Whoever would like his provision to be abundant and his lifespan to be extended, let him uphold his ties of kinship.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

SADAQAH (GIVING CHARITY)
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa) says in Quraan:

“Say: ‘Surely, my Lord extends provision for whomsoever He wills, and straitens (it) for him. And whatever thing you spend, He replaces it, and He is the best of the sustainers.” (As-Sabaa 34:39)

He also says:

“The example of those who spend in the way of Allah is just like a grain that produced seven ears, each ear having a hundred grains, and Allah multiplies (the reward) for whom He wills. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.” (Al-Baqarah 2:261)

‘IBAADAH (WORSHIP)
Hadhrat Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) said:

“Allah says: ‘O son of Adam! Devote yourself to My worship, and I will fill your heart with contentment and take care of your poverty; but if you do not do that, then I will fill your heart with worldly concerns and will not take care of your poverty.” (At- Tirmizi, Ahmad & Ibne Maajah)

PERFORMING HAJJ AND ‛UMRAH (PILGRIMAGE)
Hadhrat ‛Abdullah Ibne Mas’ood narrated that the Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) said:

“Perform Hajj and ‛Umrah consecutively. Verily, the succession between the two (rituals) removes away poverty and removes away sins just as the bellows removes away the dross of iron and gold and silver. And a Hajj not mingled with a sin has no reward except paradise.” (At-Tirmizi, Ahmad & Nasaaee)

TAWAKKUL (RELIANCE UPON ALLAH ALONE)
The second pious Caliph, Hadhrat ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab narrated that he heard the Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) say:

“If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given provision like the birds: They go out hungry in the morning and come back with full bellies in the evening.” (Ibne Maajah & At-Tirmizi)

AN-NIKAAH (MARRIAGE)
Allah, the All-Knowing, reveals in His Book:

“Arrange the marriage of the spouseless among you, and the capable from among your bondmen and bondwomen. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His grace. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.” (An-Noor 24:32)

DU’AA (SUPPLICATION)
Hadhrat Umme Salamah narrated that the Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) used to say, when he would offer Salaat ul Fajr (Morning Prayer), after making the Tasleem )at the end of Salaah saying Asalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah to the right and then to the left) he would say:

“O Allah! I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial and sustenance which is good, and deeds which are acceptable.” (Ibne Maajah)

GRATITUDE AND PRAISING ALLAH
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aalaa) declares:

“Recall the time) when your Lord declared: ‘If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.” (Ibrahim 14:7)

HONESTY AND FAIRNESS IN TRADE AND BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS
Hadhrat Ḥakeem ibne Ḥizaam narrated that the Prophet (SallAllaho ‘Alaihe WaSallam) said:

“Both parties in a business transaction have a right to annul it so long as they have not separated; and if they tell the truth and make everything clear to each other (i.e., the seller and the buyer speak the truth, the seller with regard to what is purchased, and the buyer with regard to the money) they will be blessed in their transaction, but if they conceal anything and lie, the blessing on their transaction will be eliminated.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

HAVING CHILDREN

“Do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide sustenance to them and to you, too. Killing them is a great sin indeed.” (Al-Israa 17:31)
