Forgiveness in Islam
There are many events of love and forgiveness with the enemies but whatever Islam has in it, that’s a vital role which is in dearth in other religions and begs a description here. At the time of migration, the chief of Quraish tribe announced a reward of hundred camel for one who cut off the head of the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). Upon hearing it, Saraaqah, a Makkan, was tempted and on the avarice of this reward, started chasing the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) on his horse. Hadhrat Abu Bakr, seeing him so near become concerned. The Holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) prayed to Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa). The shank of his horse thrusted into the soil three times. Then Saraaqah took the dile of arrow out to see the omen according to his faith and belief of that time. Every time it responded that Saraaqah must desist from doing so it is dangerous for him. Saraaqah was then persuaded mentally and was determined to go back. He calls to the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) and requested him to write a letter of security for him that when Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) would overcome Quraish, he would not be accountable for this act. The Holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) handed over his written statement of security to him. After the conquest of Makkah al Mukarramah, Saraaqah embraced Islam but the Holy Prophet Hadhrat Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) did not even reminded the crime he tried to commit on that day.

Just see another clear picture of Peace. “Who was Abu Sufyaan?” Before accepting Islam, he was the one who commanded the battles of Khandaq and Uhad and was a furious enemy of Islam and Muslims. When he comes before the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam), his every crime was demanding that he be killed but the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) said to him that there is nothing to fear. Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) was superior to the passion of revenge. He not only forgave him but also declared that one who enters the house of Abu Sufyaan will also be safe and secure.

Similar example of peace and serenity can also be seen in this event. Hindah, the wife of Abu Sufyaan, as well, before acceptinmg Islam to the depth of heart, left no opportunity to encourage the soldiers of enemy by enticing them with songs with her friends at the battle of Uhad. She humiliated the corpse of the most beloved uncle of the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). She ripped his chest, cut his nose and ear and made a garland. She wants to munch his heart. After battle, seeing this horrid scene, the holy prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) got very sad. When she came in veil on the day of conquest of Makkah al Mukarramah the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) did not rebuke her and even he didn’t ask why she did all this. Seeing this tolerance, she cried and uttered that O Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) ! I never halted any other camp more than yours but today no other camp is dearer to me then yours. 

The killer of Hadhrat Hamzah, Wahshi, run away after the conquest of Taif. When that spot is also conquered, he finds no shelter to hide himself, people told himthat he had not recognized the character of the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). There is no sanctuary of peace more secure than the shelter of Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). Wahshi presented himself before the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). The benefactor of human being, the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) cast his eyes down recalling the scene of his uncle’s death. He moved to tears. The killer was standing in front of him in a helpless condition. The incredible behavior of the holy prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) has been recorded in the history that his blood did not boil. Rather, he addressed him and asked him very politely not to come before him because his face freshens the memory of the tragic scene.

It is, no doubt, difficult to hide such examples in any grayish area, for, every example is eternal and shining. Once the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) went to Khyber, the actual center of power of the Jews. A battle was fought there. The city was conquered. A Jewess invited the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam). The Jewess offered poisoned meat to eat. The second the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) took a single morsel, he became aware of the conspiracy. The Jewess was summoned. She appeared and confessed her crime but from the court of the holy Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) she was set free, although the effect of that poison was felt throughout his life.

Islam, the figure and messenger of peace
and friendship
Today, the so called NGOs claim falsely that Islam preaches terrorism. They pretend to the false claimant of peace and friendship. They slander Islam in such way that there is no concept of peace in Islam. They blame falsely and illogically that Islam has made the women a slave and they are oppressed and that Islam was spread by dint of sword. The logical response to this antiIslam propaganda is very obvious from the law of Islam in this respect itself. Some important events are as follow:

In Jihad (Qitaal), the killing of woman, old and blind, even on their maintaining infidelity is not allowed and never been done. How could it be possible than that these category of people were exempted

The Jizyah (annual tax) was imposed on the non Muslim as a charge for keeping their security, according to the Islamic law. It the sword were the solution of the infidels, despite their sticking to the infidelity, how the annual tax would be imposed on them according to the Islamic law

And even this annual tax is not imposed on every infidel. Woman, maim and blind were exempted that shows that the annual tax is not the requital for infidelity or it would be imposed even in common. While the annual tax is lighter than sword, it is not the requital of infidelity, than in any way sword which is sharper how could it be the requital of infidelity?

People who are accusing Islam do not have the light in their eyes to see the circumstances of the human society before Islam. Vulgarity and nudity was very common; killing and plundering was rife all over; devastation and rape were the order of the day; on top of this even alive daughters who were newly born were put into the grave; very severe, savage and cruel punishment were imposed for the poor and have-nots; the accused were crushed under the foot of elephants; they were hung headlong and they were made cripple even to weak by lashing and whipping on their foot; boiling oil was put into their eyes; tongue was pulled out and it was a custom to abrade the skin of the accused by steel comb that lasted till the dawn of Islam.

When the teaching of Islam was sent through Hadhrat Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam), it eradicated all these evil doings. Islam protected the honor of the fair sex; made them have their rights; innocent girls were saved from the lusty people. Islam uprooted the killing and plundering and gave a right even to the inferior slave to enjoy the life. And today whoever is following Islamic law, rules and regulations, whether he belong to any other nation or religion, feels his life to be very serene and every celestial person believes in the reality of peace and security of Islam from the bottom of his heart.

The Divinity of Islam in the eyes
of the non-Muslim
Gandhi, the apple eye of the Hindus, when he came out of jail, he described the experiences of his jail term. During his stay there, he studied the life of Prophet Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) as well. He, later, expressed his views and admitted that his belief has been very stable that Islam has not made room and got approach the human world by dint of sword. The real factors for its success were the simplest life pattern of Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) his utmost abstinence, the apex in the reverence of slaves, his commitments, his deep attachment with his devotees and cronies, his courage, his fearlessness, his absolute faith in Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa). These were the very factors and facts which made him over come all the difficulties, resistances, and barriers in the way of Islam.

Shri Raj Ved Pundit Gadadhar Parshad says that I am very stark Hindu but I have gone through the lives of the founders of Hinduism, Christianity and Islam in depth. My conclusion in this regard is that Islam is the best religion. I really announce with a bang that if any religion has been bestowed mutual brotherhood, manners and civilization thoroughly, that, for my part, is given to the chief religion which is Islam. The distinguished characteristics of generosity and open heartedness are the unique grace of Islam where it provides equal rights and privileges to the poor and the rich and shelters all in its merciful lap. Islam possesses the power to finish the curse of caste system in Hinduism. One of the famous guides of non-Muslim Edward Gibbon said that the religion of Mohammad (SallAllaho alaihe wasallam) is free from any doubt. It is pure and the Holy Quraan is a brilliant evidence to confirm the oneness of God.


Islam is the Universal Religion
All these details illustrate the divinity of Islam very clearly. Islam is just like a stainless mirror before us. Nothing is hidden or altered. This religion is the only sponsor of security. It admonishes to render the mutual rights. It gives message to the whole universe of peace and friendship. It protects the honor of woman. It gives a lesson of mutual brotherhood, sympathy and unity. These implementation are not only for the Muslim that rights have been fixed on one Muslim to another. Similarly implementation are to be imposed on non Muslim either. No doubt, leniency has been ordered in rendering the rights of non-Muslims.

Human life can be worth living in a better and a happier way if the principles of Islam are followed in every walk of life and the result of these characteristics is the real humanity.

In short, humanity is the combination of two things, first, one’s own real recognition, second to make the life prosperous in real meanings and to keep toiling for it. Islam is a nut shell of all these things.

If any human wishes or craves to enjoy all the (visible or invisible) blessings and boons of Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa) then he better embrace according to the decree of his Maker. So he may have real pleasure with eternal and perpetual success because the purpose of the life of a slave is to seek the pleasure and happiness of his master. Now this fact has been clearly revealed like the light of the sun that no religion but Islam is the only religion which in real meaning a standard bearer of peace in the world.
