During the annual function of the Jamia, this department displays its skillful demonstration which is, absolutely, a source of interest to the viewers.
The Jamia which has acquired almost an ideal position in literary and religious service has always kept the service of common people in its objectives. Hence, keeping up the spirit of the of service, Farooqia Medical Centre has been set up. In this section a few doctors and para-medical staff are working. Department of Islamic Jurisprudence (Darul Iftaa)
Along with other departments in the Jamia, there is an important department of Islamic Jurisprudence where reputed and renowned scholars deal with different problems and give authentic answers on basis of Islamic rulings (Fatwaa) and suggestions. People of the country as well those out of Pakistan are being benefited.
Idarah Al-Farooq Karachi (Periodicals & Journals)
It is an obvious fact and not hidden from view of anyone that in modem times, propaganda and publicity play an important role. It assumes its added importance when non-Muslim propaganda do its job in a lop-sided way against Islam and Muslims. As it is apparent Islam is a world-wide religion and its universality leads to dissemination of true and authentic information as a matter of fact and in a literary way. Thus Muslims are honoured bound to propagate its message and stand to undo the false propaganda of its enemies with courage and conviction so that its universal message is carried to the four corners of the world.
Keeping in view this laudable objective, Idarah AI-Farooq is established as a full-fledged department of Jamia Farooqia under the instruction and interest of Hadhrat Sheikhul Hadeeth Maulana Saleemullah Khan. Its main aim is to propagate Islamic learning and thought in professional style. This department is bound to bring out in different languages, periodicals and publications of literary interest, keeping in view Islamic sentiments of high qualities in a simple and interesting way of coverage.
With this interest in view, AI-Farooq Arabic is being published since 1984 which is a quarterly journal of literary and research nature and has attained its importance in due course of time. May it be a Arab country or a non-Arab country, the journal is making its mark and has become a journal of the international repute considering the world-wide importance of the Arabic language.
Similar is the case of AI-Farooq Urdu which is coming out regularly since 1986. It contains issues and problems, comments and criticism associated with Islam and Muslim Ummah, illuminating the mental make-up of common people as well as literature. It is publishing articles of prominent scholars of Islam literary figures of Urdu language. So beside a religious resource it is also a literary treat for the Urdu-speaking people throughout the world.
Likewise, AI-Farooq English is being published since 1989. This is also a standard journal and is very popular among the Muslim youths of Europe, America and South Africa including Pakistan. Its demand is increasing day by day. It may be mentioned that AI-Farooq Arabic, Urdu and English are among those journals of the world that are the first-rate publications. It is keeping up the Islamic spirit of presentation without crossing the limits and avoiding irrelevant articles and advertisements dealing with Islamically unlawful businesses.
Since last few years, another separate monthly Al-Farooq is being published in Sindhi language, a regional but important language in Pakistan. This has also occupied a reputed position in decades old Sindhi journalism.
For these special reasons AI-Farooq, in a very short period, has achieved commendable success and name & fame. It is prayed that may Almighty Allah bless this service with unprecedented success. Aameen!
Department of Composition and Compiling
In 1414 A.H. the Jamia started another important department for its composition and compiling activities. It is obvious that in any educational institution, composition and compiling are of high value and significance. Hence, in the Jamia also, the need was felt for such a department. Although standard journals in Arabic, English Urdu and Sindhi languages are being published by the Jamia, yet the pressing need for established standard work on various subjects were felt.
The work on lectures of Hadhrat Shaikhul Hadees on Mishkaat ul Masaabeeh, Jaame' Tirmizi and Saheeh al Bukhari are in progress.
Five volumes of Kashf ul Baari (Explanations of Saheeh al Bukhari) containing Muqaddamat ul Kitaab, Muqaddamat ul 'Ilm, Kitaab ul Imaan, Kitaab ut Tafseer, Kitaab ul Maghaazi, Kitaab ut Tahaarah and Kitaab ut Talaaq, have been published. Rest are under compilation.
One volume of Nafhaat (Explanations on Mishkaat ul Masaabeeh) is out and rest is being done.
General Missionary Services (Preaching & Propagation)
During the annual vacation, the teachers and students of the Jamia use to go out in various parts of the country for missionary purpose (Da'wa & Tableegh). They invite the common man to practice Islam through the special method of lectures and practical developed by Jamaa'at et Tableegh. Some of the faculty members and a large number of graduates have traveled abroad, too, on these missions and we thank Allah for this.
Like other religious institutions, the Jamia has no permanent source of income. All the activities in Jamia is being carried out on the sole Nusrah of Allah the Al mighty. The Muslims send their charities and donations through which Jamia is carrying out such a huge tasks. The cooperation in shape of grants and aids from common Muslims are shouldering the responsibility of Jamia, Alhamdolillah. May Allah give them the greatest rewards. Aameen
